• to rebuild -after the flood- our industrial, historical city, to support its societal and technical transformation and to make it function as an inspiring example for other cities and regions across Europe;
  • to help Stolberg to find new solutions to the challenges of climate change, solutions that are durable and will not only prevent this disaster from happening again but will be an example for the rest of Europe;
  • to bring together different communities and align ideas into one clear and shared vision for the future, using Stolberg’s rich cultural heritage and history as the foundation to build back better;
  • to create a platform in which Stolberg can function as a European innovation hub, finding new synergies between the New European Bauhaus, the Green Deal and Europa Nostra’s Green Paper and Stolberg’s metal, detergent and glass industries and forge cooperation with universities, industrial start-ups and the creative industries.
